People across DPRK Celebrate Lunar New Year's Day
Pyongyang, February 2 (KCNA) -- All the people of the country meaningfully greeted Lunar New Year's Day, Juche 111 (2022), full of confidence and optimism.

The people who visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun recollected the sacred revolutionary careers and exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, who built a genuine country of the people, a single-mindedly united country, on this land and laid ever-lasting foundation for making the country prosperous.

People including service personnel laid floral baskets and flowers at the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill before making a deep bow.

The streets of the capital and other parts of the country were in a festive mood and laughter of happiness was heard from every flat and the songs "We Are the Happiest in the World" and "Pyongyang Is Best" resounded throughout the country.

Colorful performances took place at theatres in Pyongyang and provinces.

The drama "Devoted Service" given at the National Theatre, circus performance at the Pyongyang Circus Theater and magic performance at the magic theater of the National Acrobatic Troupe added to the joy and delight of the capital citizens.

Artistes who gave performances in every province also highly sang of the great pride and self-confidence of living in a powerful country that is winning a series of victories under the leadership of the great Party.

Public catering establishments across the country pleased the people with kind service.
