The course was aimed at providing the pupils and students with new types of quality school uniforms, true to the idea and spirit of the 4th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Attending it were officials and technicians of the Ministry of Light Industry and garment institutes and production units in Pyongyang City and provinces.

Dealt at the course were the issues arising in the production of school uniforms, including the shapes of trousers and knee trousers for schoolboys, dresses and winter skirts for schoolgirls of primary schools and jackets, trousers, skirts and shirts for male and female university students, and their designs for standard sizes and processing.

The lecturers briefed in detail on the general principles and processing technical demands to be observed in cutting, sewing and finishing through the displayed samples of school uniforms.

There was a question-and-answer session on practical matters arising in the production of school uniforms.
