Attending it were Ri Il Hwan, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Party and administrative officials, officials of the working people's organizations, theorists and information workers from armed forces organs, the fields of science, education, literature and art, media and the preservation of revolutionary relics and party cadres training institutions in Pyongyang.

The symposium heard the treatises proving in depth the ideo-theoretical exploits of Kim Jong Il and sagacity of his guidance.

Their presenters were Kim Yong Gwang, director of the Party History Institute of the WPK Central Committee, Paek Hyong Chol, head of the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK, Pak Yong Il, general of the Korean People's Army, Kim Chol Ho, director-general and editor-in-chief of the Workers' Party of Korea Publishing House, and Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the youth league.

They praised Kim Jong Il as a prominent thinker-theoretician who formulated the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung as Kimilsungism and enriched it as required by the era and the developing revolution and thus made sure that it shines as the eternal guiding idea in the era of independence.

They said that Kim Jong Il's history of guidance over party-building shines as the immortal annals in which the invincible might of the WPK was fully demonstrated.

They lauded him as the greatest-ever commander who reliably defended the destiny of the country and revolution with his invincible Songun politics.

They stressed that Kim Jong Il was the peerless patriot who performed the exploits to be eternally recorded in the history of the country by dedicating his whole life to the work for the prosperity of the country and the people's happiness.

His greatest feat for the times, revolution and country is that he provided a firm guarantee for our Party and people to accomplish the sacred revolutionary cause of Juche pioneered in Mt Paektu, they pointed out.

They expressed their determination to fulfill their responsibility and duty in adding luster to the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il forever.
