"The Shining Star of Mt Paektu" and "Shine, Jong Il Peak" and other documentary films dealing with the revolutionary career and exploits of the Chairman and feature films such as "Former Bodyguard" will be screened at cinemas and cultural halls across the country.

An opening ceremony took place at the Pyongyang International Cinema House on Thursday.

Present there were Ri Il Hwan, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and officials, creators and artistes in the film industry and working people in Pyongyang City.

An opening address was made by Jong Yong Nam, director-general of the National Administration of Motion Picture Industry.

At the end of the ceremony, the participants watched Part 1 "Life Dedicated to People" of the documentary film "General Kim Jong Il, Peerless Patriot."
