The chairman of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK and figures of the Institute of Oriental Studies and the Institute of the Far East of the Russian Academy of Sciences lauded Kim Jong Il as a peerless thinker-theoretician, staunch defender of socialism and outstanding leader of the cause of independence against imperialism, who proved the inevitability of the victory of socialism with his brilliant ideo-theoretical wisdom and carried on the socialist cause with his unique Songun politics.

Referring to the world-historic significance of celebrating Kim Jong Il's birth anniversary (Day of the Shining Star), the secretary general of the DR Congo-DPRK Friendship and Solidarity Association praised the life of Kim Jong Il who fully demonstrated the dignity and might of socialist Korea with his rare qualifications and great revolutionary practice and devoted himself to the prosperity of the country and the happiness of the people under the uplifted banner of Juche.

The director of the Myanmar Medical Research Institute stressed that the birthday of the great HE Kim Jong Il is the most auspicious day of not only the Korean people but also the world progressives, paying the highest tribute to him on the occasion of the meaningful Day of the Shining Star.
