Attending it were personages of the State Duma of Russia, the United Russia Party, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Party for Peace and Unity, the Liberal Democratic Party, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, the Russian Association for the Study of the Juche Idea, the Korean War Veterans' Council, the Lenin Young Communist League of the Russian Federation and the "Orchestra of the 21st Century".

The DPRK ambassador to Russia and his embassy members were also present there.

The participants paid a floral tribute to an art piece depicting President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il at the DPRK embassy.

After seeing photos of Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and pictures showing the appearance of developing Juche Korea on display, they watched a Korean film dealing with the immortal exploits performed by Kim Jong Il in developing the friendly DPRK-Russia relations.

Speeches were made at the meeting.

The director of the Asia 1 Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia said that the august name of Comrade Kim Jong Il is cherished in the hearts of not only the Korean people but the world progressives as a wise and ardent leader and an outstanding politician.

The vice-chairperson of the Central Council of the Communist Parties-the Communist Party of the Soviet Union who is member of the C.C., Communist Party of the Russian Federation lauded Comrade Kim Jong Il as a prominent politician admired by the world people for his far-sighted wisdom and distinguished leadership ability.

Praising Kim Jong Il as an outstanding state leader as well as his exploits, the chairperson of the Party for Peace and Unity said that he firmly defended the sovereignty of the country and socialism and built up the single-minded unity of the whole society to be an invincible one in the period of severe trials in the world socialist movement.
