It was attended by Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, Pak Ku Ho, its first vice-chairman and director of its Organization Department, and vice-chairpersons, the chairman of the Central Audit Committee of Chongryon, department directors and advisers of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon, members of the Central Committee and the Central Audit Committee of Chongryon and the director of the Research Institute on History of Korean Residents in Japan.

At the meeting, Ho Jong Man made a report on the agenda item "On glorifying the 25th Congress of Chongryon as the one of single-hearted unity, inheritance and innovation."

The reporter stressed that the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un called on Chongryon to make a big stride for the overall development in the movement of Koreans in Japan in step with the homeland in the year of great auspicious event to be recorded in the national history.

He said that the national education work of Chongryon and business activities of Korean traders and industrialists in Japan are further revitalized under the parental love of the respected Marshal and the legal protection of the homeland and overseas compatriots of various strata are turning out in the patriotic movement with fresh faith and courage.

He called for glorifying the 25th Congress of Chongryon as the epoch-making one of recording a new chapter of upsurge and innovation in the history of the movement of Koreans in Japan along with the homeland by putting spurs to the patriotic movement.

Speakers expressed their determination to fulfill their bounden duties as officials in the historic advance of this significant year.

The report of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee was adopted as a decision of the Central Committee of Chongryon at the meeting.

The meeting also heard a report on the examination of qualifications before dismissing and by-electing some members of the Central Committee of Chongryon.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was read out at the meeting.
