According to a decree of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, 24 primary and sub-primary youth league committees and 25 youth league officials and members were awarded Kim Jong Il Youth Honor Prize. They have turned their youth league organizations into the ones of the young vanguard through the dynamic struggle for defending and glorifying the youth movement idea and leadership feats of the Workers' Party of Korea. They have also fully displayed the stamina of the patriotic youth in the worthwhile struggle for defending the country and building socialism and distinguished themselves in study and organizational life.

Kim Jong Il Children Honor Prize went to 112 children's union members who set good examples in study, organizational life, socio-political activities and a do-good-thing movement so as to prepare themselves to be true sons and daughters of the socialist country and young revolutionaries, knowledgeable, virtuous and healthy by positively learning from the virtues of the peerlessly great men in their glorious youth and childhood.
