Senior Party and Government Officials Visit Chairman Kim Jong Il's Birthplace in Paektusan Secret Camp
Pyongyang, February 17 (KCNA) -- Choe Ryong Hae and Kim Tok Hun, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and other senior Party and government officials, leading officials of the armed forces organs and those of the ministries and national institutions visited Chairman Kim Jong Il's birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp on Wednesday, his 80th birth anniversary.

Entering the sacred place of the revolution, they laid bouquets before the mosaic portraying the peerlessly great persons and made a deep bow.

Being briefed on the history of the sacred revolution of the Chairman at the yard of the time-honored old home, they recollected with deep emotion the noble life of the peerlessly great man who led the country and its people to one victory after another while weathering the stern tempest of the revolution with his strong faith and spirit of staunch attack of Paektu in the van.

They saw round with deep attention the historic mementoes preserved with much care at the historic home.

At the Headquarters log cabin where the red flag of the revolution is vigorously fluttering today, too, they deeply cherished the immortal feats of President Kim Il Sung who led the hard-fought anti-Japanese revolutionary war to a brilliant victory.

Bearing deep in mind the phrases of the immortal monument inscribed with the poem "Shining Star" written by the President in February 30 years ago wishing the rosy future of Juche Korea, they cherished deep again what a great man our Party and people had as the leader in making the revolution.

The senior Party and government officials hardened the strong will to accomplish to the end the revolutionary cause of Juche, that started on Paektu, under the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un while eternally glorifying the immortal revolutionary life and feats of Chairman Kim Jong Il.
