Attending the seminar were delegates of political parties in more than ten countries and regions, including Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

Kazbek Taysaev, first vice-chairman of the Central Council of the Communist Parties-the Communist Party of the Soviet Union who is secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, presided over the seminar.

He said that Comrade Kim Jong Il made a great contribution to the development of the relations between Russia and the DPRK, adding that he is a distinguished leader who defended the banner of socialism and advanced the socialist cause victoriously at a time when the imperialists were trying viciously to stamp out socialism on the globe.

The feats, performed by Kim Jong Il in frustrating the moves of the hostile forces to isolate and stifle the DPRK and in reliably defending the dignity and sovereignty of the country and nation, will go down forever along with the prosperity of socialist Korea, he stressed.

Then speeches were made.

Speakers highly praised Kim Jong Il's undying feats for strengthening the DPRK and accomplishing the global socialist cause, saying that he will always be alive in the hearts of humankind.

They expressed the will to make a positive contribution to the development of the friendly and cooperative ties with the DPRK.
