Posted on the homepage were photos showing the world progressives on a visit to Kim Jong Il's birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp, revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu, the landscape of Mt Paektu, face-lifted Samjiyon City and Mt Paektu, the sacred mountain of revolution.

Also posted there were speeches made by personages of governments and political parties, organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people, Juche idea study organizations and international democratic organizations in different countries and regions.

Present at the opening ceremony of the seminar and exhibition were personages of the Organizing Committee of the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu and public figures in different countries and regions.

Present there on invitation was the DPRK ambassador to Indonesia.

After speeches by personages of different countries at the ceremony, congratulatory letters from organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people in various countries and regional organizations were read out.

The chairman of the African Regional Committee for Friendship and Solidarity with the Korean People who is co-chairman of the Organizing Committee of the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu made a keynote report there.

The reporter expressed the highest respect to HE Kim Jong Il on the occasion of his 80th birth anniversary, lauding him as a peerless elder statesman admired by the world people and brilliant commander of Songun who wisely led the Korean-style socialist construction and the cause of independence against imperialism with his profound ideology and theory, outstanding leadership and boundless devotion.

He affirmed that the event would serve as an occasion of expressing the feelings of mankind boundlessly revering the great man and their support to and solidarity with prosperous socialist Korea, saying that Kim Jong Il who made a big contribution to the Korean revolution and the cause of independence against imperialism will always be alive as the image of Juche Korea and the sun in the era of independence.

At the ceremony, speeches were made by the general secretary of the Central Committee of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico, the chairman of the Ugandan National Executive Committee of the Pan-African Movement, the chairman of the Lebanese Committee for Support to the Reunification of Korea, the chairman of the Tanzania-DPRK Friendship Association and the co-chairman of the Arab Regional Committee for Friendship and Solidarity with the Korean People.

A letter to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was adopted there.
