Floral baskets were laid before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at Yuwen Middle School in Jilin by the General Association of Koreans in China (GAKC), the Association of Korean Women in China, the Jilin branch of the Jilin Province Regional Association of the GAKC, the family of Hwang Paek Ha, a China-resident Korean related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, the family of Hong Yong Sun, former deputy chief of the Jilin Province Regional Association, and others.

The GAKC placed a floral basket before the art work depicting the President and the Chairman at the DPRK Consulate General in Shenyang.

Floral tribute was paid to the portraits of smiling Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il at the DPRK embassy and mission in China by the branch organizations of the GAKC, the Federation of Korean Economic Workers in China, the Association of Korean Women in China and the Association of Young Korean Nationals in China.

A celebration meeting of the GAKC was held in Shenyang, China.

The meeting was attended by the GAKC officials, and Choe Su Bong, first vice-chairman of the GAKC, made a report.

The reporter said that Chairman Kim Jong Il performed great feats for the country, the nation, the times and history by giving steady continuity to the revolution and construction, true to the idea and intention of the President.

He remarked that the Chairman looked after the overseas Koreans with fatherly loving care though he was busy leading the revolution and construction. Saying that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un is in the van of the revolutionary cause of Juche today, he reiterated the pledge to uphold his leadership in the same single mind with which they trusted and followed the President and the Chairman.

The reporter ardently called on all to fulfill their duties as nationals of the DPRK, rallied closer in single patriotic mind in glorifying the undying revolutionary feats of the Chairman and in upholding Kim Jong Un with loyalty.

A congratulatory letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.

Organizations affiliated to the GAKC took part in the meeting through video conferencing.

The meeting was followed by an art performance for celebrating the Day of the Shining Star.

Meanwhile, the GAKC and organizations under it watched a Korean documentary "Developing Our Party into Ever-victorious Revolutionary Party", Part 6 of "General Kim Jong Il, Peerless Patriot".

There were also colorful events like seminar, celebration gathering and reception.
