Meeting of AKJPR Held
Pyongyang, February 21 (KCNA) -- Members of the management board of the Association of Koreans in Japan for Peaceful Reunification (AKJPR) had an oath-taking meeting in Tokyo on February 18 on the occasion of the 80th birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

The meeting was attended by Nam Sung U, vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), So Chung On, director of its Department for International Affairs and Reunification, Chairman Ri Tong Je and vice-chairpersons of the AKJPR, representatives from its regional councils and members of its management board in the area of Kanto.

Videos dealing with the revolutionary career and exploits of the Chairman were screened at the event.

Then oath-taking speeches were made.

Speakers praised the Chairman as a peerless patriot and lodestar of national reunification who smashed the imperialist allied forces' moves to stifle the DPRK and led the cause of independent reunification to victory by devoting his whole life.

They recalled that the Chairman saw to it that the AKJPR was formed and wisely led it to make a distinguished contribution to the movement for national reunification.

They vowed to devote themselves to glorifying the immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il for national reunification and faithfully upholding the idea and leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un in this meaningful year.
