Attending it were Pak Ku Ho, first vice-chairman and concurrently director of the Organization Department of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), and Jo Myong Jin, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the Korean Youth League in Japan, Ri Kwang Il, its vice-chairperson and organizational department director, department directors, a chief instructor of the Korean University committee of the youth league and members of its Central Committee.

The meeting discussed the tasks and measures for carrying through the decisions of the fifth meeting of the 24th Chongryon Central Committee and splendidly greeting the 25th Congress of Chongryon and the 25th Congress of the youth league.

Jo Myong Jin made a report.

He recalled that the youth league worked hard to thoroughly establish the ideological and leadership system of Juche in the league organizations, true to the important letter of congratulation to the Conference of Representatives of Branches of Chongryon-2020 (Third Conference of a New Heyday) sent by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

He vowed to give precedence to the ideological education of officials and youth league members, build lower-echelon organizations into spirited ones and firmly rally the broad sections of young compatriots around the youth league in order to glorify the coming 25th Chongryon Congress as one of leap and advance unprecedented in the history of the movement of Koreans in Japan.

Saying that a big stride should be made in the efforts for the overall development of the movement of Koreans in Japan along with the socialist construction in the homeland this year, a year of great auspicious events in national history, in hearty response to the New Year message sent by Kim Jong Un, he stressed the importance of the role of the youth league responsible for new generations.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was read out at the meeting.
