Last Year's Forest Restoration and Land Management Reviewed in DPRK
Pyongyang, February 25 (KCNA) -- A video conference to review last year's work for the forest restoration campaign and the general mobilization for land management took place at the People's Palace of Culture on February 24.

Attending it were Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, O Su Yong, secretary of the C.C., WPK, and cadres of the Party and government, officials of the Cabinet, commissions, ministries, national institutions, educational institutions, and provincial, city and county Party and power organs and officials in the fields of forest restoration and land and environment protection.

Also present were Ri Yong Gil, minister of National Defence, and officials of the armed forces organs.

The conference analyzed and reviewed successes and shortcomings in last year's work for the forest restoration campaign and the general mobilization for land management and discussed measures for building up firm foundations this year for implementing the five-year plan and bringing about a radical turn in the land management, including forest and water conservation and road management.

Multimedia on last year's forest restoration campaign and general mobilization for land management were screened at the conference.

The conference analyzed and reviewed the shortcomings revealed in the forest restoration and the general mobilization for land management.

It called upon officials to stand in the van in this year's struggle for cementing the foundation for implementing the 5-year plan and for turning the country into a socialist fairyland and a beautiful land representing the era of the Workers' Party.
