Present there were DPRK Vice-premier Yang Sung Ho, Ri Tu Song, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials in the fields of major industry, fishery and fish farming, officials concerned at national and local levels, officials of the trade unions and officials of the units taken part in the emulation.

Pak In Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, made a report of the review.

He said that all the fields and units brought about a surge in production in their efforts to attain the goals of the first year for fulfilling the five-year plan, true to the decisions made at the historic 8th Party Congress and the Second and Third plenary meetings of the Eighth Party Central Committee.

He said that the major industrial fields have fulfilled their production plans by promoting various mass movements according to the realities of the units, tapping all latent reserves to the maximum, raising the quality of goods and encouraging domestic production of raw and other materials and recycling.

He noted that fishery stations over-fulfilled their fishing plans through an active drive while overcoming difficulties and hardship, and fish farms attained the goals by strengthening the material and technical foundation and taking timely measures for securing breeding fish and supplying sufficient feed.

Then the standings of the emulation were announced.

The participants at the review shared experience, and analyzed and reviewed mistakes and causes in their works.

The outline for the socialist emulation in the fields of major industry, fishery and fish farming for 2022 was read out.
