Present there were personages of the Latin American Institute of the Juche Idea and political parties, groups for the study of Juche idea and organizations of friendship and solidarity with the Korean people in various countries of Latin America including Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Costa Rica.

Ramon Jimenez Lopez, director-general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea who is also director general of the Latin American Institute of the Juche Idea, made a keynote report at the seminar.

The reporter said that Kim Jong Il comprehensively analyzed and reviewed 100-year history of the working class and clearly indicated the limitation of the time of the preceding theory and thus clarified the originality and validity of the Juche idea centered on man in a scientific way.

Vice-Director General of the Latin American Institute of the Juche Idea Omar Lopez Perez, its Secretary General Eleazar Aldaran and its Director Roberto Carbonel Peso and Lucas Rubio, chairperson of the Brazilian Center for the Study of Songun Politics, made speeches at the seminar.

The speakers praised Kim Jong Il for making a journey of patriotism and devotion till the last moment of his life. They added that Kim Jong Il made unremitting efforts for the economic development and the improvement of the people's living standard while giving field guidance to every part of the country after setting forth the slogan "We Serve the People!".

A letter to the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un was adopted at the seminar.
