The newly-instituted title of the Ten Best Teachers is to be awarded to the teachers and kindergarteners who have made a great contribution to the education of the rising generation, true to the Party's policy of education.

The title were conferred on Kim Ok Gyong, teacher of Pyongyang Primary School No. 4, Sonu Jong Chol, chief of a department of Amnokgang Middle School No. 1, Hwang Pok Gyong, teacher of Toksong Primary School in Phyongsong City affiliated to Phyongsong Teacher Training College, Ri Myong Sun, teacher of Unha Primary School in Sariwon City, Kang Kum Sun, kindergartener of Kuje Kindergarten in Haeju City, Jo Yong Ok, teacher of Myongchon Senior Middle School in Myongchon County, Kim Myong Il, chief of a department of Hamhung Middle School No. 1, Ko Myong Suk, teacher of Junghyon Primary School in Sonbong District, Ko Song Min, teacher of Phyongsong Teacher Training College who is also head of the Education Science Research Room of the college, and Jang Kyong Il, chief of a department of Nampho University of Education.

They have added luster to their life as career revolutionaries for developing the country's education with boundless loyalty to the Party, ardent patriotism, clear conscience and high qualification for educators and motherly character.
