The festival on the theme of "Preceding of Science and Technology and Innovation" is aimed to accelerate the overall development of socialist construction by positively exchanging and sharing the valuable sci-tech successes made in every sector and unit in the struggle to carry through the decisions of the 8th Party Congress.

It will be held in the form of virtual exhibition, divided into such 30-odd panels as those for metal industry, chemical industry and electric power industry. And the presentation and examination into the exhibited sci-tech successes are to be conducted through video-conferencing system.

Taking part in it will be organizations and scientists, technicians, teachers, postgraduate students, soldiers, workers, peasants, three-revolution team members, university students and other people who made valuable sci-tech successes.

Presented to the festival will be such achievements made in various sectors as those which substantially contribute to the home-production of raw and other materials and the settlement of food, clothing and housing problems for the people and successes helpful to stepping up the development of basic science and advanced technology.

The examination of the festival is to be conducted, divided into a scientific research and education sector and an industrial establishment (co-op farm) sector.
