Discharged Soldiers Volunteer to Work at Farms
Pyongyang, March 1 (KCNA) -- More than 110 discharged soldiers volunteered to work at farms in South Hwanghae Province, the biggest agricultural province in the country, with high zeal of being a standard-bearer of the struggle for radical development of the socialist countryside.

They were greeted with delight by officials and working people in the province on February 28.

They presented bunches of flowers to the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il in Haeju City before making a bow to them.

At the provincial revolutionary museum, they hardened their will to glorify with rich harvest the exploits of the peerlessly great men, who walked along the road between fields all their lives for the agricultural development of the province, and to bring earlier a fresh victory of the socialist rural construction, remaining faithful to the leadership of the Party Central Committee.

A meeting of welcoming the discharged soldiers took place at the South Hwanghae Provincial Art Theatre.

Present there were Kim Yong Chol, chairman of the South Hwanghae Provincial People's Committee, officials concerned and working youths in Haeju City.

Pak Thae Sop, secretary of the South Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, made a congratulatory speech to be followed by speeches.

After the meeting, officials and working youths in the province gave the discharged soldiers bunches of flowers, warmly seeing them off.

Meanwhile, over 10 discharged soldiers volunteered to work at co-op farms in North Phyongan Province.
