Birth Anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il Marked Abroad

Pyongyang, March 2 (KCNA) -- There took place seminars, round-table talks, lectures, book and photo exhibitions, film shows and art performances in Bangladesh, Syria, Indonesia, Kuwait, Thailand, Pakistan, Guinea, Nigeria, Senegal, Algeria, Uganda, Ethiopia, Equatorial Guinea, Tanzania, Belarus, the Czech Republic, France, Mexico and Panama to mark the 80th birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Present at the events were political and social personages and other people in those countries.

Screened at the film shows were DPRK films dealing with the revolutionary career of the Chairman who performed gigantic achievements for the Korean revolution and the global cause of independence.

All the events were full of deep reverence for the Chairman, an outstanding thinker and theoretician and an elder statesman of the world.
