Number of Young Volunteers Increases in Kangwon Province of DPRK

Pyongyang, March 2 (KCNA) -- More than 160 young people in Kangwon Province of the DPRK vowed to work at difficult posts at a time when the enthusiasm to volunteer to major sites of socialist construction is running high among the youths across the country. Some of them volunteered to work on socialist farms with the resolution to bring earlier the bright future of rural development, while others volunteered to work at new revolutionary posts. A meeting to congratulate those volunteers was held at the Kangwon Provincial Art Theatre on Tuesday. Volunteer certificates were awarded and a congratulatory speech and pledge-taking speeches were made at the meeting attended by Chairman of the Kangwon Provincial People's Committee Chae Il Ryong, Secretary of the Kangwon Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea Pak Kwang Ryol, officials of the youth league and young people. There was a congratulatory art performance, and officials and young people in the province warmly saw off those volunteers with bouquets. |
