A congratulatory meeting took place at the Hamhung Grand Theatre on Mar. 3.

Present there were Om Pong Guk, secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the provincial youth league committee and officials and students of graduating classes of Hamhung University of Agriculture and other universities.

Certificates were awarded to the volunteers at the meeting. Some volunteers made speeches, following congratulatory addresses.

A speaker warmly congratulated the volunteers who take the lead in working at the places called by the Party apart from their dear old homes and city in hearty response to the Party's grand plan for socialist rural construction.

The speakers expressed their will to make innovative successes by displaying the same wisdom and bravery at new revolutionary posts as the young people did in the postwar reconstruction period and the Chollima era.

A resolution was adopted at the meeting.

After the congratulatory art performance, officials of the province and officials and students of various universities saw off the volunteers leaving for the Ryonpho Greenhouse Farm.
