DPRK Premier Inspects Industrial Establishments
Pyongyang, March 5 (KCNA) -- Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and premier of the Cabinet, made a field survey of the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex and several units under the Salt Industry Bureau.

At the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex, the premier called on its officials to push ahead with the current fertilizer production in the revolutionary working style and manner, mindful of the important position and role of the complex in implementing the strategy for rural development set forth at the 4th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Party Central Committee.

He stressed the need to raise the productivity by strictly observing the technical rules and standard regulations in all processes of the complex and positively introducing the advanced science technology.

Learning in detail about the remodeling and updating of the Onchon Tile Factory under the Salt Industry Bureau, he said that its officials should thoroughly ensure the construction quality by scrupulously organizing and commanding the project and thus finish it without fail at the set time, as the updating of the factory is of weighty significance in the salt production.

At the Kwisong Salt Works and a salt-making machine repair factory, the premier called upon their officials and workers to bring about substantial and innovative achievements in the struggle for developing the country's salt industry in the spirit of devotedly and conditionally implementing the Party's policies.

The on-the-spot consultative meetings discussed the issue of giving precedence to the supply of raw and other materials for keeping the fertilizer production going at a high rate, the issue of steadily increasing the salt production of salt works and firmly cementing their material and technological foundation and the issue of making the relevant units supply the equipment necessary for the salt production in a responsible way, and took measures for doing so.
