Present there were Ri Hong Yun, chairperson of the Union Central Standing Committee, and other deputies to the union.

Discussed at the conference were tasks of the 43rd term of the union for putting its movement on a normal track in this significant year when the 25th Congress of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan will be held and measures for doing so.

Ri Hong Yun made a report at the meeting.

The reporter analyzed and reviewed the successes and lessons made in the dynamic work of the 42nd term of the union in the "movement for retaking our students", the implementation of the three patriotic tasks, etc. with the main emphasis put on defending the lives and safety of the Korean students in Japan.

The reporter set it as the main tasks of the 43rd term of the union to strengthen the activities of the branches, the basic organizations of the union, intensify the work for accomplishing the three patriotic tasks and bring about a turn in the guiding work.

Then speeches were made.

Citations were awarded at the conference after the publication of the results for "60-day campaign of the movement for retaking our students" waged last year for the expansion of the union members.

Ri Hong Yun was reelected as chairperson of the Central Standing Committee of the union at the conference.
