North Hwanghae Province secured millions of tons of compost and spread fertile soil on the fields, the total area of which is 1.5 times larger than the one in the same period of last year.

Ryanggang Province, a mountainous province located in the northern tip of the country, mobilized various means of transportation, as required by the regional topography, to carry compost to the fields in time.

Officials and workers of institutions and industrial establishments in those provinces supplied a large amount of manure to farms.
