On the basis of the review and analysis of deviation from the past rural housing construction, officials of party and power organs in South Phyongan Province directed efforts to the improvement of the technical knowledge and skills among the workers and technicians in construction units and to providing enough construction equipment and tools.

The province generalized the successes and experience in a purposeful way through a significant exhibition of more than 15, 700 pieces of tools in 130-odd kinds presented by its cities and counties.

In North Hwanghae Province, practical measures have been taken to build up its rural construction forces and activate the production at building-materials production units, while giving precedence to house designing.

Jagang Province made a plan to build a ri as the model of the housing construction and gave detailed tasks to officials in order to complete the project in a short period of time.

Concentrating efforts on the strengthening of its own technical forces and ranks of skilled workers and the provision of such construction equipment and tools as shovels, excavators and trucks, North Hamgyong Province has stepped up the production of building-materials based on local resources.
