The February 16 Science and Technology Prize and Scientific and Technological Innovation Prize were conferred on the sci- tech achievements conducive to the independent development of the state economy and the improvement of people's standard of living. And three persons who played a pivotal role in fulfilling the assignments have been chosen as the best scientists and technicians of the state for 2021.

Meanwhile, four inventors won the Prize for Best Inventor, which was newly instituted to establish an atmosphere of prioritizing science and technology throughout society and encourage the masses' enthusiasm for invention, as required by the age of knowledge-based economy.
