The presentation and experience-sharing meeting was aimed to increase the cultivation area and production of wheat and barley and generalize the sci-tech achievements and experience helpful to minimizing the damage by abnormal weather.

Attending there through video-conferencing were scientists, technicians, teachers, researchers and field officials of 40-odd units including the Academy of Agricultural Science and Wonsan University of Agriculture.

More than 70 pieces of treatises were presented after full discussion and good experience on rich harvest in wheat and barley farming was introduced.

What drew attention of the participants and jury were treatises and experience conducive to increasing the output per hectare like breeding of high-yielding seeds suited to the geographical characteristics, selection of the right soil and the scientific and advanced cultivation technology.

Discussed there were an issue arising in expanding the area under cultivation of wheat and barley and a scientific and technological methods for increasing the output per hectare.
