The provincial youth league committee gave priority to the organizational and political work for stirring up the youths' enthusiasm, urging the youth league organizations at all levels to make substantial contribution to the agricultural production.

Entering this year, the project for expanding waterways in 170-odd kilometers-long section and the river improvement and embankment project in 20-odd kilometers-long section were completed, tens of hectares of new lands were secured and thousands of tons of peat and apatite exploited through such mass movements as the youth shock brigade activities.

Young people in Samchon, Jaeryong and Yonan counties sent thousands of pieces of small farm implements and farming materials in 10-odd kinds to the relevant youth workteams and sub-workteams.

Recently, the youth league organizations in the province provided for farms more than 11,600 pieces of small farm implements and farming materials in 17 kinds including sprayers and vinyl chloride sheets.
