The province applied fields with over 4.673 million tons of various kinds of homemade manure and more than 67, 400 tons of slaked lime. It also carpeted over 12, 200 hectares of the fields with humus soil and improved the soil in some 12, 700 hectares of low-yielding fields.

Regarding the production of lots of homemade manure including organic compost as an important way for improving the soil fertility, the province has made this a priority.

Carpeting the fields with humus soil is being done in a qualitative way and low-yielding fields like acid soil and those soil affected by the cold and humidity are being improved as part of preparing conditions for increased production.

The province remodeled plows of tractors to be rational and is taking measures for enhancing the role of tractor drivers.

Prevention of disastrous weather is underway in a foresighted manner while adopting advanced farming methods as appropriate to the regional conditions.

Rice-seedling raising is forcefully pushed forward and new rice-seedling raising method is being spread all over the coop farms in the province.

One hundred and tens of more pumping machines have been brought into operation, raising the capabilities for minimizing damage by drought and flood.
