National Photo Exhibition Opens
Pyongyang, April 7 (KCNA) -- A national photo exhibition "Great Father of People" was opened in the DPRK to mark the 110th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

On display at the exhibition venue are photos dealing with revolutionary career of the President who devoted his all to the happiness of the people, always finding himself among them with the noble idea of believing in the people as in Heaven.

The photos show the leadership exploits of the President who projected the working class as the eldest son of the country and the devoted efforts he made to solve the food problem for the people, giving ceaseless guidance to the countryside.

They also show the loving care and trust of him who trained the intellectuals into patriots contributing to the prosperous development of the country.

The photos convey the solicitude of the President who pioneered the Juche-oriented youth movement and brought up the rising generations to be the reliable pillars of the country.

There are also photos showing his loving care for the anti-Japanese revolutionary veterans, war veterans and children of revolutionary martyrs and his leadership exploits in rallying all Koreans in the north and the south and abroad under the banner of great national unity.

Reminding the visitors once again of the fact that they have been blessed with the illustrious leaders through generations, the photos evoke boundless thankfulness for the great motherly Party doing its utmost to translate into reality the people's beautiful dreams and ideal.

A ceremony of opening the exhibition took place at the People's Palace of Culture on Wednesday.

Attending it were Ri Il Hwan, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), Sung Jong Gyu, minister of Culture, Choe Hui Thae, chairman of the Pyongyang City People's Committee, Ri Myong Chol, secretary of the Pyongyang City Committee of the WPK, officials concerned and working people in Pyongyang City.

Ri Il Hwan made an opening address.
