State Commendations Awarded to Persons of Merit

Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- The Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK on March 10 issued a decree on conferring Order of Kim Il Sung, the title of DPRK Labor Hero together with Gold Medal (Hammer and Sickle) and Order of National Flag First Class, titles of honor and orders on officials, working people and servicepersons on the occasion of the 110th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung. They distinguished themselves in the struggle to implement the Party's policies.

According to the decree, Order of Kim Il Sung was awarded to four persons, the title of DPRK Labor Hero to two, the title of People's Scientist to two, the title of People's Teacher to one, the title of Merited Scientist to one, the title of Merited Teacher to five, the title of Merited Designer to one, the title of Merited Technologist to one, the title of Merited Historical Site Lecturer to two and the title of Merited Smelter to one. And the title of Merited Electrician went to one person, the title of Merited Coal Miner to four, the title of Merited Miner to two, the title of Merited Mechanical Engineer to three, the title of Merited Engineman to one, the title of Merited Builder to one, the title of Merited City Caretaker to one, the title of Merited Truck Driver to one, the title of Merited Doctor to one, the title of Merited Nurse to one, the title of Merited Cook to three, Order of National Flag First Class to 133, Order of Labor to 357, Order of National Flag Second Class to 3, 737 and Order of National Flag Third Class to 4, 511, 8, 777 persons in total.
