He learned in detail about farming in Haeju City, Pongchon, Paechon, Yonan, Pyoksong, Kangryong, Ongjin and Sinchon counties, stressing that the officials should fully display the spirit of unconditionally and thoroughly implementing the Party's policies, true to the Party's intention for South Hwanghae Province to uphold the banner in the country's agricultural production.

He called for meticulously organizing the farm work, being cognizant of the fact that the success of this year's farming depends on the responsibility and role of officials, and for putting priority efforts on increasing the fertility of soil and positively applying such advanced farming methods as organic farming.

He stressed the need to thoroughly meet the sci-tech demand in tending wheat, barley and other earlier crops, improve their nutritive conditions and thus decisively increase the grain output.

He called for making tangible contribution to increasing the agricultural production by doing well the work of learning after good experience of advanced units while building up the foundation for the production of organic compound fertilizer in the province.

Field consultative meetings discussed the issues of putting the farming operation and guidance on a higher scientific level on the basis of last year's experience and lessons, correctly carrying out the plans for such immediate farming processes as sowing and ploughing and raising the actual rate of mechanization.
