President Kim Il Sung, by leading the battle of Pochonbo to victory on June 4, Juche 26 (1937), instilled into the Korean people the confidence in sure victory that Korea was not dead but alive and they could emerge victorious if they fought against the Japanese imperialist aggressors.

The museum has drawn many visitors, including senior Party and government officials, anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters, war veterans, officials of institutions at all levels, servicepersons, working people, schoolchildren, overseas compatriots and foreigners since its inauguration on April 12, 1952.

The number of visitors totals more than 21, 900, 000 from over 460, 390 organizations.

More than 2, 089, 000 people have visited the museum for the past 10 years since the start of the new century of Juche.

The museum has greatly contributed to arming the officials, Party members, working people, servicepersons and schoolchildren with the revolutionary traditions of our Party.
