The press statement recalled that President Kim Il Sung embarked on the road of revolution in his teens, liberated Korea from the colonial rule of Japanese imperialism and accomplished the cause of building the Party, country and army.

It noted that the Korean people hold Kim Il Sung in high esteem as the eternal President of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) as he developed it into a socialist country of the people in which the people become the master of everything.

It praised the President as the great leader of the world people for founding the immortal Juche idea, actively supporting the progressive people in their struggle for independence and making great contributions to the accomplishment of the cause of independence against imperialism.

We splendidly celebrate the Day of the Sun (the birth anniversary of Kim Il Sung) as a holiday common to humankind with boundless reverence for him, it stressed.
