Brisk Development of Technology for Making New Materials in DPRK
Pyongyang, April 13 (KCNA) -- Teachers and researchers of different universities and scientific research institutions in the DPRK have made progress in developing the technology for making new materials with domestically available resources.

Those of the Materials Science Faculty of Kim Il Sung University studied and completed the technology for realizing the home production of cutting tools and now engage in establishing a production process by propelling the development of cutting tools of practical significance in the machine-building sector.

Those of the Materials Science and Technology Faculty of Kim Chaek University of Technology strove to settle the sci-tech problems arising in developing spring steel with alloying elements abundant in our country.

Scientists of the Nano Physical Engineering Institute have made strides in their research for developing nano-catalyst to increase the production of hydrogen with less electricity.

Those of the Hamhung Branch of the State Academy of Sciences dedicate themselves to developing molecular sieve for oxygen separator needed in the metal and chemical industrial sectors.

Enthusiasm for developing the new material-making technology is growing stronger with each passing day.
