Method of Brewing Riganggo, Traditional Cultural Heritage of Korean Nation
Pyongyang, April 13 (KCNA) -- The method of brewing riganggo was listed as part of traditional cultural heritage of the Korean nation.

Riganggo is yellowish lucid liquor brewed with soju (Korean gin), pear and ginger. It has been one of the most popular health drinks for its high nutritive value from olden times.

According to history books like "Tongguksesigi", riganggo was popular among the people in Hwanghae Province, who brewed it from a mixture of distilled spirit and other ingredients such as ginger, pear and honey.

Now, the method of brewing riganggo has further developed thanks to the policies of the Party and the state on preservation of national cultural heritages.

It was put on the list of national intangible cultural heritage in Juche 107 (2018).
