Schoolchildren's Art Performance Mark Day of Sun
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- An art performance "Generalissimo Is Our Eternal Sun" was given by the art groups of the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace and the Pyongyang Schoolchildren's Palace at the Youth Park Open-Air Theatre in Pyongyang on April 13 in celebration of the Day of the Shining Star (birthday of President Kim Il Sung).

The performance started with prologue "The Day of the Sun Is Eternal Thanks to the Marshal" amid the ardent yearning and reverence for President Kim Il Sung overflowing at the theatre.

The performers reflected their joy and pride of celebrating the auspicious holiday, the birthday of the President, in the serial songs and dance "Mangyongdae is a Flower Garden", "Mangyongdae, the Best Pride" and "April Holiday".

Put on the stage were the songs praising the exploits of the President who was born at a low-roofed thatched house in Mangyongdae, achieved the historic cause of liberating Korea by waging a long bloody war against the Japanese imperialists and dedicated his all to the happiness of the rising generations.

They truthfully depicted the appearance of the younger generations, who are growing up to be robust under the care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, and the reality of the country making leaps forward and development.

The poem and chorus "Forward Following the Footstep of Marshal Kim Jong Un", which reflected the will of the schoolchildren to prepare themselves thoroughly to be reliable successors to the revolutionary cause of Juche, revved up the atmosphere of the performance.

The performance which ended with the epilogue "We Are the Happiest in the World" assured the audience that a bright future is in store for the country, thanks to the great father.

Among the audience were Ri Tu Song, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, officials concerned, youth league officials and schoolchildren in Pyongyang.
