Oath-taking Meeting of Agricultural Workers Held in DPRK
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- An oath-taking meeting of agricultural workers and members of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) took place in the Rihyon Co-op Farm, Sadong District of Pyongyang on Wednesday on the occasion of the 110th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

A letter of pledge to the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un was read out by Han Jong Hyok, chairman of the UAWK Central Committee,

The letter stressed that the immortal feats the President performed for the nation and mankind with his rare qualities and traits, celebrated idea and theories, outstanding leadership and enormous revolutionary practice will shine forever.

The letter expressed the iron faith and will of all the agricultural workers and members of the UAWK to successfully implement the instructions of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and uphold the idea and leadership of the respected General Secretary.

It also expressed the determination to transform all ris of the countryside into the ones that meet the requirements of the three revolutions and prepare themselves to be masters of rural revolution by vigorously carrying out the three revolutions-ideological, technical and cultural.

It expressed the will to attain the goal for grain production by putting the whole farm work on a sci-tech footing, true to the Party's agricultural policy, and waging an intensive emulation campaign for soybean and potato farming, while developing the rice and wheat farming.

Present at the meeting were Ri Tu Song, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Hong Chol Jin, secretary of the Pyongyang City Committee of the WPK, officials concerned, officials of the UAWK and agricultural workers.
