Haegumgang Pine Islet --Natural Monument

| Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- Haegumgang Pine Islet is scores of kilometers away from the seat of Kosong County, Kangwon Province of the DPRK. There are big and small rocks around the islet inhabited by seabirds. It is a rocky islet formed with granite weathered by the action of rainy wind and waves. Pine trees grow there. The islet, one of the scenic spots in Sea Kumgang, is of significance in the study of weathering and growth of pine trees. |
