Performances Given by Foreign Artistes in April Spring Friendship Festival
Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- Songs of friendship and solidarity sung by foreign artistes reverberate throughout Pyongyang, the host city for the 32nd April Spring Friendship Art Festival.

Videos of performances by the Chelyabinsk State Ural Dance Group of Russia, the Lao State Art Troupe, Romania's national indoor chorus and Austria's Janoska Ensemble were screened.

The Russian dancing troupe is a famous traditional folk dancing troupe.

Dancers of the troupe, well known in Russia and other countries, prepared various numbers such as "Floral basket of friendship" and "Return from frontline" for the festival marking the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung to represent the DPRK-Russia friendship.

The performers of the world-popular Austrian ensemble, composed of international concours winners, elegantly played world famous songs through a harmonious combination of piano and other instrumental music.

The Romanian chorus, known as the best one in its country, demonstrated its prestige with a unique unaccompanied chorus.

Dancers of the Lao art troupe also gave an original dancing performance.

The performance vividly reflected the will to develop the traditional friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and Laos in the struggle for the victory of the socialist cause.

Its female solo "Bird of peace" and song and dance "Sound of flute in Laos" gave an artistic description of the desire of the Laotian people to lead an independent, creative and happy life in the world, free from aggression, war and subordination.
