Working people and servicepersons visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun with their ardent yearning for the President to pay high tribute to President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Floral baskets, together with bouquets and flowers, were placed at the statues of the great leaders on Mansu Hill in Pyongyang and other parts of the country.

Ceremonies were held in every province to award state commendations to the officials and workers who have distinguished themselves in implementing the Party's policies.

Joint meetings of the Korean Children's Union organizations and celebrations of the working people's organizations were held in every province, city and county. A national art exhibition, a national book exhibition and a stamp show were held at the Okryu Exhibition Hall and the Korean Stamp Exhibition House.

There took place colorful concerts in Pyongyang and local areas as well as a drama "Devoted Service" at the National Theatre and an acrobatic performance at the Pyongyang Circus Theater to rev up the festive mood of the people enjoying the holiday.

The concerts given in South Phyongan Province, South Hwanghae Province, Jagang Province, South Hamgyong Province, Ryanggang Province and Kaesong City also added to the festive atmosphere.

There were football games at Kim Il Sung Stadium and the Sosan Football Ground, Taekwon-do and judo games at the Taekwon-Do Hall and the Combat Sports Gymnasium in Chongchun Street as well as various kinds of sports games at different institutions, factories, enterprises, farms and universities.

The Central Zoo, Natural History Museum, Munsu Water Park and other recreation centres in the capital city of Pyongyang were overflowed with visitors.

Public catering establishments and other service amenities in Pyongyang and local areas offered special holiday services to the citizens.

Working people and students in seats of different provinces, cities and counties had dancing parties and evening galas to express their ardent yearning for President Kim Il Sung.

Fireworks were set off in the evening of April 15 at squares, parks and recreation grounds in the seats of all provinces across the country.
