Present there were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission (SAC) of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, vice-president of the SAC and premier of the DPRK Cabinet, and other senior officials of the Party and the government, the chairperson of a friendly party, officials of the Cabinet, ministries, national institutions and armed forces organs, officials of merit and labor innovators in Pyongyang City.

Ri Il Hwan, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, made a speech.

He extended the highest tribute and the greatest glory to President Kim Il Sung on behalf of all the people and service personnel of the People's Army.

Praising the immortal exploits of the peerlessly great man who dedicated his whole life to the country, the people and revolution after leaving his home in Mangyongdae, the speaker stressed that the noble will of all the Korean people to hold the President in high esteem as the eternal father of the nation and the sun of Juche will remain unchanged forever.

He said that the cause of the people, the socialist cause of Juche, whose solid cornerstone was provided by the President and which had been further developed by Chairman Kim Jong Il, is now greeting the heyday of its development in the great era of Kim Jong Un.

He called on all the participants to fulfill their duty and obligation as the revolutionary soldiers in faithfully and sincerely upholding the idea and leadership of the Party Central Committee.
