Present there were Ma Biao, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, officials of the Chinese party and government including the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and personages of various circles.

They laid a floral basket in the name of the CPC Central Committee before the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and made a bow to them.

They looked around the photos showing the feats made by the President through his external activities and watched a video clip recording the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un's visit to China.

Chinese party and government officials talked with the DPRK ambassador and members of the embassy.

Vice-Chairman Ma Biao said that Comrade Kim Il Sung is the great founder and leader of the Korean party and state and that he is always alive in the mind of the two peoples as he made deep acquaintance with revolutionaries of old generation in China and devoted himself to the development of the China-DPRK friendship relations.

In recent years, the China-DPRK friendship has been put on a new stage of development under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two parties and countries, he said, adding:

The Chinese side will make joint efforts with the Korean comrades to constantly develop the China-DPRK relations in keeping with the demand of the times by carrying into practice the important common understanding of the leaders of the two countries and make an active contribution to the regional peace, stability and prosperity.

He expressed belief that the Korean people would make greater progress in the accomplishment of the socialist cause under the guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea headed by Kim Jong Un.
