The best key to consolidating our own strength, our internal force in every way, the firm guarantee of turning the period of serious hardship into a new period of vigorous and strong revolution and the substantial way of making uninterrupted innovations and progress and successive offensive, not resting on laurels of the victory lie in the powerful ideological offensive, the editorial says, and goes on:

The ideological offensive means the consolidation of our revolutionary position.

There can't be perfection in consolidating the political and ideological position. In the past ten years characterized by the arduous history of the Korean revolution, our Party's guidance was remarkably enhanced and our system could demonstrate to the world its advantage and vitality while invariably adhering to its inherent character despite hostile forces' obstructive moves. This would have been unconceivable without the powerful ideological offensive for arousing people's patriotic enthusiasm for the revolution.

We can not fulfill the heavy tasks set forth by our Party if we rely on trite ideological viewpoint and ordinary work-style.

When the whole country conducts vigorous ideological offensive to raise fierce flames of implementing the Party policies, this year will be a turning-point in transforming the intention and decision of the Party Central Committee into great practice, and the cherished work of our Party for the prosperity and development of the state and for the improvement of the people's well-being would result in precious fruition.
