Kim Il Sung Square was built in the 1950s and its original name was a major square in the master plan for the reconstruction of Pyongyang which the President worked out during the Fatherland Liberation War, looking forward into the victorious morrow.

On every meaningful occasion during his leadership over the post-war rehabilitation and construction, the socialist revolution and the socialist construction since then, the President warmly congratulated and encouraged our people and servicepersons from its platform, when they exalted the pride and dignity of victors.

Generations have been replaced several times and the appearance of the square has changed, but one thing that remains unchanged is cheers and loyalty of the people to their leaders.

In one mind to celebrate the Day of the Sun, an auspicious national holiday, a great number of people from numerous enterprises, ministries and national institutions and neighborhood units gathered there.

As the public procession of the Pyongyang citizens began with the solemn melody of the song "The Glorious Motherland", the square immediately seethed with passions and cheers.

The people raised the stormy cheers of hurrah looking up to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un standing on the platform and proceeded past the platform with writings "Single-minded Unity" and "We'll Travel One Road Forever ".

Let us be loyal to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un forever along the road of victory and glory as we remained loyal to President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Our people will follow the great leaders to the end of the earth, with loyalty to them.

The cheers of hurrah originated at Kim Il Sung Square in April reverberate far and wide with the echoes of loyalty sounding to the minds of all the people in the country.
