Young People Volunteer for Posts in Difficult Fields

Pyongyang, April 19 (KCNA) -- The young people of our era are displaying ever-growing noble stamina to fully demonstrate their spirit of patriotic youth. More than 2, 670 young people across the country volunteered to work at the posts in difficult and arduous fields after the 4th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Party Central Committee. Song Myong Sim, former teacher of Sunhwagang Senior Middle School in Mangyongdae District, volunteered to work at Mubong Senior Middle School in Samjiyon City and Pak Kum Ju, who was a worker of the Rangnang Ponghwa Garment Factory, at the livestock farming base in the Sepho area. Many young people in North and South Phyongan provinces and South Hwanghae Province volunteered to work at sites of socialist construction. Yang Song Il, who was an official of the Kimhwa County youth league committee, took it upon himself to work at Choso Co-op Farm in the county and Jong Hyok Chol, who had worked as an official of the Samsu County youth league committee, at a platoon under the road repair and management corps in the county. Scores of graduates from Hamhung University of Agriculture volunteered to work at the Ryonpho Greenhouse Farm under construction and those of different universities at the revolutionary battle sites in the areas of Mt Paektu and Sinhung and schools in Samjiyon City, forefront areas and mountain villages and on islands. Over 200 graduates of senior middle schools in North Hamgyong Province volunteered to work at the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex, co-op farms and coal mines. |
