The symposium was aimed mainly to share and transfer achievements and experience made in putting on a scientific basis the work for planting trees for all seasons and to find out a rational solution to this work.

Attending it were officials, scientists, technicians and three-revolution team members at scores of units, including forestry management stations in Hyongjesan District of Pyongyang City, Phyongsong and Kaechon cities of South Phyongan Province and Hochon and Yonggwang counties of South Hamgyong Province, the Academy of Forest Science, Wonsan University of Agriculture, Kanggye University of Agriculture and Forestry and Hyesan University of Agriculture and Forestry.

About 40 valuable papers, completed in the course of conducting brisk scientific research work, were presented and good experiences introduced at the symposium.

Exchanged there were opinions on the sci-tech problems arising in planting trees all the year round irrespective of seasonal conditions and raising the survival rate. Then speeches were made.

Screened during the symposium was a video clip introducing the sci-tech data on tree planting.
