Members of Lao Embassy Visit Mangyongdae

| Pyongyang, April 21 (KCNA) -- Members of the Lao embassy here visited Mangyongdae on April 19 to mark the 30th anniversary of President Kim Il Sung's and Chairman Kim Jong Il's meeting with Kaysone Phomvihane, former chairman of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and president of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, on a visit to the DPRK. At the old home of President Kim Il Sung at Mangyongdae, they looked around the historic mementoes preserved with much care, being briefed on his glorious revolutionary history and the patriotic life of his family members. They had a picture taken before the old home before touring the revolutionary sites on Mangyong Hill. Sisavath Khamsaly, Lao ambassador to the DPRK, made an entry in the visitor's book that it is their honor to visit the birthplace of President Kim Il Sung. On April 20, members of the Lao embassy visited DPRK-Laos Friendship Chongryu Junior Middle School in Taedonggang District. They appreciated an art performance given by schoolchildren after going round several classrooms. They donated sports apparatuses to the school. |
